How to best work with me as a coach

Companies: early or growth-stage companies with many early career PMs but no bandwidth on their product leaders to coach them effectively.

Usual engagements is 1-2hr/week for the following use cases:

  • Providing guidance on product strategy and roadmap planning
  • Helping with decision-making for prioritization and resource allocation
  • Assisting with product launch and go-to-market strategies
  • Supporting in navigating cross-functional collaboration and communication challenges
  • Jam sessions to go from abstract problems to tangible business solutions.

Individuals: early to mid-career PMs (1 - 5 years) who are looking to grow and thrive in their careers.

Common objectives include:

  • Specific projects or issues you are facing at work:
    • Problem-solve or bounce ideas on initiatives you are leading
    • How to handle difficult relationships with stakeholders or your team
  • Getting to the next level at your company
  • Deciding on your next career move and improving your interview skills
  • Identifying and clarifying your long-term goals career-wise.

A usual engagement is biweekly for 3 to 6 months, but we can find the best way to work together.

Coaching Practice Rules

Sessions

  • Coaching sessions will be scheduled in advance and will last for 50 minutes.
  • Mentoring sessions will be scheduled in advance and will usually last 60 minutes, but you can pick times ranging from 30min to 2 hours.
  • I can provide quick advice through WhatsApp messages to clarify any topics that were discussed in a previous coaching/mentoring session.
  • Sessions can be arranged through the cal.com scheduling link provided. If you can’t find a suitable time let me know through WhatsApp to work something out.
  • If the client needs to reschedule, they must provide at least 24 hours notice.
  • If I need to reschedule, I will provide at least 24 hours notice.
  • If the client is more than 10 minutes late for a session without notice, the session will be canceled and counted as a missed session.

Payments

  • Payments will be made in advance of each session.
  • Payment can be made via:
    • Peru: Bank transfer, Plin.
    • Rest of the world: Paypal
  • If the client needs to cancel a session, they must do so at least 24 hours in advance to receive a refund.
  • If the client misses a session without providing at least 24 hours notice, they will not receive a refund.
  • If I cancel a session without providing at least 24 hours notice, the client will receive a free session as compensation.

Emergencies

  • If a client needs to cancel a session due to an emergency, they will not be charged for the session.
  • If I need to cancel a session due to an emergency, the client will receive a free session as compensation.

These rules are subject to change and may be adjusted on a case-by-case basis as needed.
